So we’re in the last leg of the bus ride to Huancayo. It’s been long but absolutely gorgeous at the same time. I forget how beautiful and enormous the Andes are. We’ve been going up these switchbacks for hours on end. I was going to the bathroom a couple of hours ago and the bus took a hard turn and I came crashing out the door. Luckily no one was there! Lima is at sea level and Huancayo is close to 12,000 ft. So I think that the altitude is going to kill me on my run Monday morning.
